The worldwide prevelence of Diabetes is 135 million cases, 16 million Americans with 10.3 million diagnosed and 8.1 million women. This equates to 1 in 17 or 5.88% of the population. The incidence rate is approximately 1 in 340 or 0.29% or 798,000 people in US.
