The European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) and the
Netherlands Association for the Study of Obesity (NASO) are pleased to
welcome you to the 17th European Congress on Obesity (ECO) in
Amsterdam, The Netherlands from May 6th - 9th.


We are confident that our excellent congress centre, Amsterdam RAI, in the
cosmopolitan and colourful city of Amsterdam will help make the 17th ECO
into a highly successful event.


This year, for the first time, some oral presentations will be combined with
Review Sessions, thus giving abstract submitters more opportunity to
present their abstract orally. Review Sessions traditionally comprise three
invited lectures, each lasting 30 minutes. At ECO 2009, Review Sessions will
comprise two invited lectures but will also include two 15 minute oral
presentations from selected abstracts. For further information please see our

By coming to Amsterdam you will not only enjoy an excellent scientific and
