Anthony H Barnett

Anthony H Barnett is Professor of Medicine, Consultant Physician and Clinical Director of Diabetes and Endocrinology at Birmingham Heartlands and Solihull Hospitals, which have one of the largest diabetes units in the UK. His research interests include the causes of diabetes and its complications and the development of new therapies to treat diabetes and the long-term vascular complications of this disease. In addition to publishing around 400 original papers, Professor Barnett has written many books, review articles and editorials on diabetes, and has contributed chapters to major textbooks on the subject.
